There are plenty of good alternatives to sugar – one of them is, for example, healthy vegan chocolate mousse.
As part of our 6 week Biotherm challenge, Camilla says no to bad sugar, which is devoid of nutrition, vitamins, minerals and fibers.
But what is bad sugar really? It is refined white sugar (even though it is organic), for example, sweets your coffee with added sugar and simple sugars that can be found in most simple carbohydrates like marmalade, candy and soda. Even brown sugar is “an enemy,” because the color itself does not make the sugar less unhealthy.
Fortunately, there are a lot of sweet alternatives to the sugar:
- agave syrup
- maple syrup
- apples (apple sauce for example)
The options are rich in minerals and vitamins – and are healthier to you and your figure. When making your favorite desserts, you can replace the sugar with fruit peel (from, for example, lemon, lime or kaffir lime) to add the right flavor. If you are a chocolate lover, get here is a good recipe for raw chocolate mousse (bonus: it’s vegan!):
Mix 180 ml almond milk with 3 avocados (mash them well) and about 125 grams of raw chocolate. Pour it into 6 glasses and place them in the refrigerator for 4 hours. A wonderful taste experience that can not be seen on the scale!
