BIOTHERM has given My Woman Secrets a challenge: Come back to the good habits of 6 weeks. We have addressed the challenge – and you can follow here. We have reached Week 4, where Pernille drops the training center, Julie tests Asian beauty tricks, and Camilla must work standing.
Remember that you can join our challenge – either by following Pernille, Julie and Camilla every week or even starting from week 1. See our 3 challenges and every week’s focus HERE
This week I have been on home training. My boyfriend and I got our lovely little dog puppy at 8 weeks home on Saturday, which gives a great opportunity to take the training home where I can be with the little new. We live at 3. hallway, so that it is gradually rising up and down the stairs, which make up a great deal of bone training. When I still have to work from home in these weeks, it’s really nice to use the living room as a training center. I have a nice yoga mat, where all the stomach exercises can be made while the waffle is sleeping.
Run training is okay, it’s actually a little harder than expected! I’m about to run around. 3.5 kilometers now, but struggle a bit with the last road to the 5 kilometers.
If something is happening right now in the world of beauty, it’s all Asian. And that’s why I am so pleased that Biotherm this week has made me test three beauty strings, which just come from Asia.
Starting this week, I want to …
1. Smell the cream
It sounds violent, but it’s good enough. Instead of rubbing care products into the skin, I’m joking or squeezing it – like many Japanese and Korean women. I had already heard that when it comes to eye cream, but it’s new to me to do it with face cream and serum. When I dip instead of lubrication, products should be absorbed better while stimulating blood circulation.
2. Brush my face
I’ve heard the beauty ladies in the editorial talk about brushing the skin like the new black, but I actually did not know that it also applies to the face. It would seem like some kind of exfoliation, and I can use that. I already use my Clarisonic brush to clean my skin tomorrow and evening with Biotherm Biosource Total Renew Oil Cleanser and water, but this week I expand the routine with a dry brush 2-3 times a week. I started yesterday, and it feels strange just to start with – but really like a weird, killing feeling. And afterwards the skin is very warm and feels very nice and fresh.
3. Using Toner
Okay, I already did. Or, you know, since I got my cleanout routine with the help of Biotherm’s skin care expert. I use Biosource Softening Toner, just after I have cleaned, and just before I start my morning or evening care routine. It should balance the ph value after cleaning and get the products I put on (see them all in the gallery here) to work better.
I think I will celebrate my new Asian beauty tricks with lots of sushi and a good Haruki Murakami book this week. Happy Asian Beauty Week to all of you who join the MORE BEAUTY challenge!

Can you become more productive, get more energy and become just a little healthier by sometimes standing up and working instead of sitting down? According to a new survey, the answer is yes. The study shows that working man is able to increase productivity by 10% – and to gain a generally better health. This is also the reason why companies like Google and Facebook have allowed their employees to work permanently if they wish.
Therefore, my challenge from Biotherm this week was that I should test whether it would also have a positive effect for me a couple of times a day to ease the numb and for a while stand up and work rather than sit down. Fortunately, I’m equipped with a raising / lowering table (which is always fun in the same low starting position … sitting), so I immediately threw over the task and decided twice a day – mid morning and mid afternoon when fatigue Typically, it’s time to work for half an hour standing. The result has been thoughtful. I’ve felt far less restless than usual, getting my two-do lists faster from the hand and generally having a more even energy level. Right, I think.
And it has led me to a lesser revelation: Where is it actually infinitely a little needed to relieve one’s health! Personally, I tend to think that health is vegetables in a bunch, hard workout three times a week and total alcohol and sugary. In other words, an unimaginable project for me! But the last week’s Biotherm challenge has shown me that these are the small things here and there that can actually help make the big difference. The small mental breaks, the sweet snack made in a slightly healthier variant and a mindset, changing the eternal self-criticism with more motivating mantras.
A healthier lifestyle does not necessarily have to be so prohibitively difficult. What a relief!
